He ranks second in school history with 543 of 846 passes for 6,524 yards, fifth with 42 touchdowns and ninth with 28 interceptions. He carried 332 times for 1,512 yards (4.6 avg) and 15 scores. His 1,512 yards are the second-most ever by a Spartans quarterback. He saw action in 1,178 plays, ranking second in MSU annals with 8,036 yards in total offense. Gained 8,036 yards in total offense, ranking second on MSU all-time record list. Threw for at least 200 yards in 14 consecutive games (beginning with the 2004 season finale vs. Hawaii until the Eastern Michigan clash in 2006), setting a school record. His athletic ability was used as a freshman on special teams units, where he appeared in 13 games on cover units, garnering 13 tackles.
